Jack S. Tonge Jr., OD

Dr. Tonge is a long time resident of North Georgia and a graduate of Duluth High School.  His undergraduate work was completed at Furman University and the University of Georgia.  He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1972.  Following his graduation, Dr. Tonge served as a US Army officer with the Medical Service Corps.  He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association.  He has received an Achievement Award from the Georgia Lions Lighthouse, a Distinguished Service Award from the Lawrenceville Lions, and a Service Achievement Award from the American Optometric Association.  Dr. Tonge opened his Lawrenceville practice in 1974.  In his spare time Dr. Tonge enjoys  travel, sports, reading and cooking.  He is the father of three sons and one daughter.
